Half block Cocker Page 1
Half block cocker
I bought this real cheap. I have alot of spare parts laying around. Yes I hacked the body up real bad. That makes me commit to this project. I'm just that way. Hopefully this will be the last Marker I build.I'm getting tired of the on going projects that I never get to play with. This is just to show that "JUNK" can be turned into a "FULLY FUNCTIONAL" piece of shooting hardware. I'm not sure if I will FREAK the barrel. I'm really trying to keep this in the low budget area.My total investment so far with what you see is about $40.00. So sit back and just follow along as I go thru the steps. One thing you need to understand, is that not everything is what it seems. I tend to start off cheap and end up going into COST OVER RUN LOL. Lots of things change and I don't always post what I do till the end. One good thing about this body is. It was a 99 coverted to a 2k spec banjo bolt. I still have 99" flow. It should be air efficient.
The body
Not sure of brand or yr. Looks like it was a 99" and below. Enlarged chamber and Angel feed mod with lots of milling.
How it looks now
I took a metal chop saw to it. Then used my crappy sherline mill to rough it up a bit. Man Rainman is going to be pissed lol.
Barrel
I'll be using a cheap knock off CP clone. It was laying around.
NOTE**** I have changed the barrel. This just didn't fit with the milling.
Front block and ASA
Front block,Pneumatics and the ASA. Nothing special. Once again everything is just spare parts that were laying around. I might change it to a chrome block and chrome ASA.
The Freak Back
Not sure if I want to really invest in one. Unless I can find a real cheap one.
NOTE**** I have a freak kit that Iuse on all my Cocker threaded markers. I however will not sell the freak back when this goes on the chopping block.
The Frame.
I picked up this knock off DYE frame. Looks very nice. No slop and it was a cheap price. I love Ebay!
NOTE**** This frame has been changed. Iam using a different one that fits the body better. You'll see what all has changed at end of project.
The Guts.
Turtle valve and hammer. This is an older version from what I'm told. Either way it's a valve.
Back from milling
It's back and looking a little different. I couldn't decide if I wanted a mini or not. I guess Rainman made up my mind lol. As usual he did a great job with the milling. Used existing parts that I sent him to make the sled. Rethreaded the front for 2K threads and included a front block with it.
So it's off to Rainman 229.
So it's off to anodizing
not sure who will do it. Rainman is up in rotaion, but he gets the mid block cocker anodizing. So many choices. I'm looking at Yellow with Blue and Red splash.
